Just wondering if someone can explain nonspecific colitis to me. I can't find much on the web about it.

I had my colonoscopy today and he showed me some photos, of what looked like raised blisters, and said it was nonspecific colitis, but only on a few small areas. He acted like it was no big deal and told me he sent off biopsies. He also said it shouldn't be causing the problems I've been having.

I've had abdominal pain for 3 months with no clear answers, until last week when an ultrasound showed an enlarged ovary with a 2.5cm bleeding cyst... so I am now leaning towards gyn problems causing my pain, constipation, weight loss (30lbs), etc.

Still, really curious about nonspecific colitis!

Thanks
