Hello,
I am new on this board, coming over from the Fibromyalgia and Lupus boards. My rheumatologist gave me the starter pack of Rozerem today since I cannot take Lunesta, Ambien and all of the other sleep aids. He says that this one is different as it works with the circadian rhythm, has less side effects, etc. I am always afraid to try new meds (although with everything they have put me on, I should be used to it by now). I am just wondering before I take this if there are any experiences with this drug (positive and negative).
Thanks so much!!
Kim

Hi Kim. I think the consensus on Rozerem is that it's a pretty useless drug. You might be just as well off buying melatonin over the counter. Not sure of the side effects, but I think they're mild to non-existent, just like any positive effects you might experience.

Yep.. Roserem is just melantonin in RX form. Cheaper to buy over the counter in my opinion. I am lucky.I am able to take the Ambien CR and the Lunesta. I prefer the Ambien CR as the Lunesta has a nasty after taste

This med made me wired all night long. I laid in bed wide awake for 8 hours like I drank a pot of expresso, it was horrible. I tossed it out in the trash and it was SO expensive. I used Klonapin for a long time its cheap and has no side effects, but can be addicting, it worked well for me, in fact great, but I needed 2 increases over a year's time so I felt it wasn't good if I had to keep raising my dose. I am now off it and am sleeping good because I have a CPAP machine for sleep apnea (and heavy snoring) that caused me to sleep really bad. that cured my sleep issues. The only way to tell if this drug works for you is to try it a couple of times, I hope it helps you, it might do the trick everyone is different.
