what are everyones tests they've got because of anxiety/panic disorder, and how did this disorder skyrocket after you had your first attack and did it lead to hypochondria?

I have had every test done on my heart besides a cardic cath due to my hypochondria. It started one nite i thought i was having a heart attack i went to the ER and they said it was an anxiety attack over thinking it was my heart and its been downhill since, that was 2 years ago.

My drama started 8yrs ago and I still suffer from pure dread and fear of dying. I have had heart, lungs, brain, stomach, etc... tests and scans all normal It is very hard to believe that you can make yourself have terrible symptoms. When I had my 1st attack I went to the ER thinking I was having a stroke. I had severe dizziness, SOB, tingling in arms and lips. I was for sure I was dying. It lasted for almost 1 month until I went on meds. I do great on meds but a few months after I stop meds I am full blown again. The dizziness is the worst for me. I am also very aware of all the bodily functions feeling weird. Heart palps, tingling, dialated pupils, breathing, pulse rate. It is terrible to live like this. I have been almost 2years no problems. Went of meds and 6 months later (today) Here I am freaking out all over again. I don't think mine will ever go away.Meds will help you to live in peace. I try time and time again and I always have to go back on meds.Anyway as time goes by you will begin to believe it is stress and anxiety Like my nerologist said to me...If it was a brain tumor you would be dead by now. You will get better but it might never completly go away Keep the faith and let me know if you need to talk.

Yeah so do I, I come home from school, even from lunch and the first thing I do is check this board, and look up different diseases that mimic my symptoms. I have went from parkinson's and addison's to brain tumor and a heart defect, now I am going to get tested for lyme. I've had an EEG, CT, MRI w/ w/o contrast, chest xray, stomach xray, ultra-sound, Upper GI and Colonoscopy. All came back UNREMARKABLE. I just don't get it, what is going on with my body. It's like the fight or flight response is BS to me becuase I try and fight it and I just end up flying everytime. I want to live my life worry free. But that's impossible, I went from one day not caring what was going on to the next day just knowing I'm dying. I don't know what triggers mine either. I can't fight it, I feel as if no doctor can cure me. I am 17 yrs. old and very active, yet feel as if I am dying day in and day out, when really I shouldn't. My body is so physically ill it seems that there is no use. I would love to talk to anyone who is just like me. That is what helps the most is knowing I am not alone.

Are you on any meds? Antidepressants do well for me. I hate being on them but it does help me live. You are very young and I feel really bad that you have to suffer with this at such a young age. You will get through it. Like I said it was so bad at first. I lived in horror all the time.Every twinge was something major. Try to relax. Don't put to much stress on yourself. I am a perfectionist and my life has to be perfect. This I know is my problem. I try not to be this way but it is hard. I was tested for adrenal fatigue. I tested positive. A regular MD wouldn't recognize this only a chiropractor. I do think this could be reasons for my anxiety. I also don't have triggers for my attacks. I just have terrible symptoms 24/7. Like I said I have been great for almost 2 years and now I have been off meds and I am terrible. What are your symptoms and how long do they last?

well i had the common panic attack symptoms whenever i wasn't on klonopin. Now my everyday symptoms are: stomach cramps, acid reflux, nausea, headaches, the thought of death and constant worry 24/7, sharp pains in my chest. Oh yea and I forgot to mention all the heart tests I've had and how many times. ECG 3 times and holter monitor twice. Both fine. I don't know what to do. I can manage everyday but it gets tougher and tougher and I've tried 4 AD's and none have worked they just make me really dizzy and nauseated.

well my stomach constantly cramps up and i can't seem to control it. I feel like I am dying every day. I just need some reassurance that I am fine and am not dying especially with all the tests I've had. What does everyone else think?
