Hi,
does anyone know any statistics for Fibrocartilage lasting after OCD drilling? I have a fairly good covering of it on a 2cm by 1 cm lesion. I have searched the net and read that fibrocartilage is inferior to hyaline, and wont last very long. Most long term studies have been on knees though, and not ankles. Knee studies suggest fibrocartilage matures at 2 years and then starts to degenerate.
I desperately need some stats for the insurance company, or they will sign off my foot for good. Can anyone help please?
Mazzie
