I just re-filled an RX for Ambien. The previous generic was pretty weak, and my Dr prescribed two pills. When I refilled this time, the pharmacist showed me the pills and said, "It's the same stuff, but a different manufacturer." So, I went home and took two pills that night. It really knocked me out - much more than the two pills of the previous generic. I don't take this stuff often, but I do occasionally need a hand getting to sleep.
Anyone know if different generics are more or less effective than others?

I've had the brand name and two different generics and I can't tell the difference..... except with the price. :jester: My first generic was round with a smooth blue or green coloring, my current one is smaller, oblong and white. It's the 10mg non-CR.
