I recently started taking a cocktail of Prozac, depakote, neruontin, lithium and when my partner and I make love, I can't achieve orgaism. I keep feeling like I am going to but never achieve it. It wears me out. Any suggestions?

Hi,
That's such a common problem with these meds. I had that on Prozac, switched to a little Luvox and Wellbutrin, and no more problem.
Would your pdoc be able to put you on something other than the Prozac? I don't know if your other meds can have that side effect, either.
I know how you feel. It's incredibly frustrating to be so near, and yet so far, then all tired out from trying.
I do hope you can find a good substitute.

Thank you for your comment. I am not sure what to try. I have felt so much better on this cocktail.
Bipolar illness drives me nuts.
Hope you are doing well.

I agree, prozac definately affects my libido, so I have to decide if it's worth it, for me wellbutrin isn't enough by itself, so I take care of my man, and it seems like just another chore to get done, which is sad, but part of this disease I have to cope with, I figure. Besides my dh and I have been together so long it's hard to know if it's really a side-effect, or just the way it is after 13 years....( not so exciting:yawn: )
