I have HPV, I had warts show up... Does that mean it's NOT the kind that causes Cervical Cancer?
The doctor gave me a sheet of paper but that didn't really answer my questions, and I left the doctor office thinking my questions were going to be answered after reading the papers.

That's right, the wart strains do not cause cervical cancer. However, it's always a wise idea for women to get a pap test done to make sure they haven't also contracted one of the thirteen strains that do cause cervical cancer... because that's always possible, and nearly impossible to know you have unless you get a pap test done. The cancer-causing strains rarely lead to genital cancers in men, although it is possible. So regular check-ups are a good idea.
