My 20 month old daughter fell last tuesday and began to complain of pain in her left foot and refused to put any weight on it. No swelling no redness. Xrays show no facture. she was casted for a week and it was removed yesturday and re xrayed. She appeared to be willing to put some weight on it and x rays showed nothing so she was released. Within a few hours she began to complain of pain again and this morning is crying and limping severly when I ask her to walk, even with assistance from me. She has also had blood test that have come back normal. What do I do next? Please Help

Are you sure it's her foot that is the problem? The reason I say this is b/c I have a daughter who broke her leg when she was 2. We thought it was her ankle the way she fell and x-rays didn't show a fracture. They went back and took more x-rays going up her leg and found the fracture.
Is it possible it is sprained and is just hurting? Are there specific areas where it hurts? See how she moves her toes, ankle in all directions, etc. I'd keep an eye on it and take her back if it continues.
If your luck is like mine, this won't be the only time you'll go through this!
Hope your luck is better and your daughter is back to herself soon!

Thank you so much for responding. Unfortunatly she has already had x-rays of her hip, pelvis, thigh, knee, shin, ankle, and foot. She does not react to the touch she only cries when weight is put on to her foot. I am being told that it is just fear of the pain from the original injury and it is all in her head. However, I see that she wants to walk and tries and is hurting. I will continue to keep an eye on her and hopefully will see something that gives me some answers. Thank you so much for you response and concern.
