I just had a root canal and now 3 hours later I have a bloody discharge from my nostril. Is this normal

Was the root canal done on the same side as the discharge? Was the tooth in your upper jaw?

The tips of some cuspids have been known to extend into the sinus area. It's possible that your root canal treatment caused this, but it shouldn't be a big problem. If you haven't already, call your dentist and inform him of the bleeding.
