I have CLL and I know the results of my CBC tests, but I don't know what the normal range is for the white count, red count, hemoglobin and platelets. Seems simple enough, but I can't find it.

There are percentage counts for CBS's and there are actual number of cells. There are a number of different white blood cells, but with CLL you are probably most interested in the lymphocyte count. The percentage should not exceed about 50%. Generally, when you get a CBC, there will be a notation of what the norms should be beside your count.

If you want more complete data, I'd be happy to post what is considered the normal range for different blood cells. However, some labs differ on the ranges a bit.

Please let me know if I can be of more help.

Thanks. If you have the time to post the normal range(s) I would appreciate it. My lab doesn't give me notations of what the norms are --- hence my original question. Thank you

Normal CBC values can vary slightly from facility to facility, lab to lab, etc. I took the following CBC norms off a copy of my husband's lab work, which was recently done at his oncologist's office(my husband also has CLL). I hope this helps.

RBCs: 4.20-5.80
WBCs: 3.8-10.5
HGB: 13.0-17.0
HCT: 39.0-51.0
Platelets: 130-400

Neutrophils: 50-62
Lymphocytes: 25-40
Monocytes: 3-7
Eosinophils: 0-3

(FYI: The last 4 listed are different types of WBCs)
