Does anyone know which one would be making me snappy and aggitated. I've been taking a low dose of the norytriptiline at night mostly for headaches and sleep. And the buspar is of course for anxiety. I just feel joyless and easily aggitated. Does anyone know which is causing this. Could it be buspar? Someone please answer.

I'm not on your particular drug for anxiety (although I am on something), but, from my experience, you should tell your doctor what you're feeling.
They may have to change your dosage.
It could be too much, or too little.

I appreciate your response but unfortunately I'm past the calling the doc to see what they think. What I mean is I have been going thru this depression anxiety thing for years. I have been on almost everything. I've seen psych docs in the past but got tired of it and then I go back for help again. Currently I'm just seeing my medical doc but he said if these do not work I will have to go back to a doc that can help me further blah blah blah. Anyway I just wanted some opinions from people that have experiance with these meds. Thanks again

I've seen people here, say that they received more help "here," than from their doctor, just by other people's experiences.
I think it's kind of a "process of elimination," actually, when seeking a med that works for you. If one doesn't work, try another combo...etc...
I was lucky, in that my 2nd time around, Celexa at a low dose has helped immensely.

I take buspar and never had that type of problem. I have had the jitters, anxiety, anger on antidepressants. Hope this helps. Godlbess

Yrs ago, I took amitryptiline which is related to nortryptline, and It made me very irritable and easily agitated. Your story sounded familiar to me, I would bet it's the nortryptline more than the buspar.
