What was your Vitamin D level? Mine was 21 (32-100) and I am taking Rx 50,000IU once a week.

Hi - My Vit D level was unmeasurably low (<12.5 where normal levels were approx 50-150). Since then I have been taking 100,000 IU/month of Vit D3 with a few extra at fortnightly intervals to start with. After 6 months my levels are still low but not abnormally so. The course of treatment goes for 10 months. People vary in their capacity to produce Vit D ie tends to diminish with age but in my case I think its from spending too much time indoors. Make sure you're taking D3 rather than D2 as D3 is at least 3x more effective than D2 at increasing the levels of Vit D hormone in circulation. The cramping and tiredness may be from other causes - have you had your Iron levels measured?:)
