I was told recently that I am no longer ovulating. Does that mean I am menopausal? Or am I still perimenopausal?

hello. as i understand it, if you're still having periods even if they're a bit hit and miss, you're perimenopausal. you're 'officially' post menopausal after 12 months without a period. the 12 months while you wait to see if you get a period is when you're considered to be 'in menopause'. i hope i explained that right, i'm sure someone here will put me right if i'm wrong about it.
i imagine if you're not ovulating then you're not getting periods?
