View Full Version : Acupuncture

With regard to your last post, I do not feel that acupuncture is the best and only treatment for headaches/migraines. I have also seen homeopathy work very well as well as acupuncture.

All I am saying is that, yes not everything will work for everyone and people need to choose what works for them, but before you do post, you actually need to know a little of what acupuncture is all about and in my reply to your post, I was trying to explain how acupuncturists diagnose and treat and the fact that there is a difference between traditional acupuncture and medical acupuncture used by most doctors.

The fact that you also seemed to have read research that came from doctors speaks volumes. Most doctors do seem to try and discredit anything alternative as it is mostly in their best interests to do so. However, I think you could benefit from reading the research that has actually been carried out by traditional acupuncturists themselves to balance your view.

There is a big difference between traditional acupuncturists and doctors who practice acupuncture. It is not the same at all.

The Journal of Chinese Medicine, The European Journal of Oriental Medicicine and the Journal of Clinical Acupuncture are all good journals of traditional acupuncture and carry research studies too.

Everyone needs to find what works for them and acupuncture may not, but acupuncture is not the only way. However, as I said before, I have seen great success with it over the years and with homeopathy also.
