Hi

I hope someone can help me! My little sister has been sick for most of her life, she just turned 21. She had Encephalitis when she was three, as she got older she started to have blackouts/fainting. Her hair also start falling out in clumps. She was taken to a Naturopath who diagnosed her with having had Glandular Fever at some stage. The she had an EEG that said she had some abnormal brain activity but they didn't know what caused it (hence the faints). She was also flown out of our small town to a Regional Hospital because they thought that she was going into Kidney failure. She has had sinus problems for years & was today diagnosed with chronic sinusitis after having a CT scan. But she if forever having abdominal pains, nausea, sleeps constantly and the list seems to go on. I have also just found out that her father in dying from Emphysema & had Hepatitis C when she was conceived. We live in a remote area with not much access to great GP services but will do all possible to get to the bottom of this. Any ideas?

Has she been tested for Lupus? I only say that based on her hair loss, kidney problems, and brain issues. These can all be symptoms of lupus. Get her checked by a rheumatologist.
