Its been 4 mos since my eye lift and the doc is going to go in and remove some small white hard bumps and close some of the stitch line with another stitch. Apprently I had a allergic reaction to the silk, so he says, anyone had this or maybe had the doc re-fix the area and what did it look like, I want it gone but am very scared it will look worse after he is done. Naturally he assures me it won't also he would like to do this in his office under local, a little scared about this too. My left eye feels lower than the right, meaning I feel more skin over my eye and he says he can possibly fix this too, should I just go under iv sadation can't decide that either.

Hey refsmom...I've had you on my mind. I also had those little white bumps from eye surgery but they didn't appear until 2 years later. I went to a new plastic surgeon last week to have them removed and he told me they are called milia. 2 were very deep into my eyelid but he got them all out. I also had botox injections around my eyebrows and restalyane around my mouth and lips and also for those little puff bags under your eyes. If you can remember I had a mini fac lift in December and am still healing from that. My left under eye area swelled and bruised very badly from the injections. It is a week later and I still have a bruise under my eye and the other eye is a bit swollen underneath. I also have some left over bruisung on my neck area, around my ears and a lump of something (fat?) that I was told to massage daily for it to diminish. How is your bruise on your cheek? Did you try the hot shower and massage for it? Just wondering how you were doing.
Just waiting for all to return to noirmal, whatever normal is now lol.
Take care Linda

Hey Linda, thanks for responding, these white bumps are hard but small and they look bad on my scar, he is going to remove them, I'm scared they will look worse, also there is a place on the scar at the end away from my nose that looks like it healed like a divit. He is going to re stitch this, I hope I'm doing the right thing, as for the bruise, he wants to use a pulsed light laser, he says that it bleed so deep that it is in my pigment now and the light will blast the color away, (yea right) I am just trusting him because I don't want to start over with a new doc, I paid alot of money for this and think he should fix these things, but how far do I go? The girls in his office were like "he's losing sleep over you" He's the best and won't stop till you are pleased" my husband is not sure what to say, I'm very unsure, but don't want to leave these results like they are. very confused. Now I want it to end, still not regretting having it done, but might be regretting soon! He also told me my neck losened a little and he was disappointed for this, I think it's just still swollen on one side because the right side is still very tight. Again he says it takes a whole year to see the final results, that 4 mos in still too early to do anything except fix my eyes. Did u go to sleep to remove the white bumps or did u use local in the office? Not sure what to do. I'm a baby would like to fall asleep and wake up done.

Hey refsmom, I got had local injections and I really didn't feel pain. He had to dig deep for mine and I left his office with a few dots of blood that scabbed the next day. You shouldn't have any problem. Good luck

Linda, did u bruise from the injection sites? Some of mine are right in the corner of my eye and under my eye, also did your eyes swell and for how long. Still waiting to hear from his office to schedule, I think they're discussing the money end, because he knows I shouldn't have to pay for this service and they're probably trying to somehow get me to pay something.

yes to both the bruising and swelling. I got restyalane shots under my eyes and by the next day my left eye was totally bruised. It's been 8 days now and I do see a big difference where he put the shots but I still have a small bruise under my left eye and the right eye has a bit of swelling. Nothing major. It justs look like I didn't get enough sleep. I am glad I got the shots though because my skin has smoothed out a lot! I also had some restyalane around my lip area to plumb them up a bit and had no bruising or swelling whatsoever. I am going back to my Life Style lift doctor this afternoon for a hard lump on my jawline that won't go away. It has been 6 weeks postop for that. He wants to inject steriods into that area. It does take quite some time for healing as I am finding out. Glad I had it done when I did due to my son getting married in June. I would have flipped out if this had happened any closer to the wedding. When all said and done, I think I will be very pleased with my results. No you shouldn't have to pay for those appointments. My doctor has seen me 4 times after my surgery with no charge and even got on the phone himself yesterday to talk to me.
Good luck with your doc. and be sure to let me know what happens with the injections and I will do the same. Take care Linda

Linda, I also got steriod shots in a small lump in my cheek and in the scar under my chin, from the neck lift. They helped so much, but it takes about 1- 2 weeks to see the big difference. All of a sudden you will not notice the lump and it will be gone. My doc says it's not unusual to have to get 2-3 shots of steriods after surgery. I was still numb in those areas and really didn't feel the needle, but the very first shot was in the site of the "bruise" and I feel like after that shot the bruise got worse, it was on the down side of healing and after the needle it started all over again. He felt this too! But it was too late he had already given the shot. anyway good luck I will let u know about the pulse light and the eye revision. refsmom ;)
