The binder should probably be 4-6 weeks.
What did your PS tell you?
The longer you wear the binder the better the results can be....... plus it is giving you much needed support while you are healing.
Yes, it is common to be sore in the upper area. A Tummy Tuck involves up & under the rib cage also.

tummy tuck, I had one 2 years ago this Jan, I wore the binder for 5 mos, I couldn't stop wearing it, but I had lipo in the flanks and think I wore it more for this reason. I had to wean myself off of it, I didn't think I would ever stop wearing it, actually it made me feel soo much better. I really wasn't sore anywear on my stomach. I didn't push anything to test it, but let me tell you it's the best best surgery I ever had, you will love the results, time makes it better. I love my stomach I look at it all the time! Your clothes will fit so much better, my girlfriend is so jealous. Also had breasts done, love them too!:D

I'd Love to have one too but I don't do well with Pain. My BA was bad enough but a TT is worse, I've heard. ))-: At least with my BA I felt fine the next day.

I had my TT done 3 months ago and never been happier with my stomach!!
I still wear my Spanx occassionally for extra comfort....sometimes you FEEL your tummy bulge is still there for some reason....but when you put on those "skinny" jeans for the first time it's an amazing feeling!!
As far as pain....it was nothing I couldn't handle and I have an extremely low tolerance to pain!! I had knee replacement in "05 that the rehab was 100 times worse pain. I had also had a hysterictomy and it made the TT feel like nothing!! The drainage tubes are a nusiance at first, but not painful !! I would do it again in a heartbeat!! I had lipo on my flanks along with the TT.
Ocassionally I feel a little "pull" if I lay a certain way and what's weird to me is that after I eat (too much) my stomach feels very stretched.....(let's me know I ate too much!! ;) and also my PS told me you have to remember that even though the outside stitches are gone and your tummy is flat, there was alot of work done inside to tighten the muscles and alot of stitches on the inside that take longer to heal !! So you go for it !!! you will be so glad you did!!!
