My mom just starting taking the above medicine but she does feel dizzy, is that a commen effect after she takes the pill

Dizziness is a side effect, although I've never experienced it. I read someplace about one serious side effect of Lactic Acidosis and a sign can be dizziness. Maybe someone else here can shed some more light on this subject, but just to be on the safe side, your mother should probably let her doctor know that since she's taken the Metformin that she's started to feel dizzy.

I've been taking it for a few years and do not experience that side effect. Is she taking it with food?
