I love these boards and just came across the headache topic. I had to share my story of my personal cure!
I had been having chronic headaches (5-14 per week)nearly all my life--well, since about age 17 or so. They were not migraines, but enough to have me popping lots of pills. At 20, my doctor considered doing a cat scan and suggested I add more protein to my diet.
That never seemed to help much and I chalked it all up to stress, smoking, life and "just the way my body is."
I quit smoking nearly five years ago and that didn't help stop the headaches. About two years ago, at age 35ish, I thought about a little experiment and decided to stop taking my birth control pills. From nearly the first day without the pills, my headaches STOPPED. I occasionally get headaches now, but it is definitely NOT a daily occurrence.
Yes, I realize this is NOT a cure-all for everybody.
Regards,
Cindy
