Hi, I just made a new post but it sounds like you maybe have something similar to me. I have had a headache for over a week, maybe 9 days or so. At first it was a dull ache in the back of my head and my neck was very stiff. Eventually the headache just stayed and is constant. I have felt nauseous off and on and very tired. I am also now (since tuesday 12/16) having weakness in my left side, mainly my arm and leg. It feels as if the muscles are very fatigued like they have been asleep.
I also went to the doctor and they said I was stressed and had a tension headache. But the left side weakness is scaring me. How is yours? Are you having anything similar to mine? I am considering getting an MRI done-have you had any procedures done yet? If so what have they said? Have you had any stess in the past months? I am trying to understand if stress really could create symptoms like these.
I hope your feeling much better-hopefully we will all feel better for the holidays.

Hi, please let me know if you find any relief. I've had a headache almost constantly for about a week. It used to go away for awhile but now it's constant. I've tried different med. and also heating pad and ice pack. Nothing helps.
I'm going to the Dr. but he couldn't get me in til Tues.
So far I haven't had much of any nusea but I get really tired.
I feel like I have bricks sitting on my shoulders all the time.
Hope you find some relief and let us know what you find out.

Hi, i know the ton of bricks feeling. Thats how mine
started. I'm starting to get a little relief finally
the dr. put me on a different med. propanalol(sp?)
i got tues. to have a test to check for mini strokes
It was also suggested that i get checked for TMJ.
I'm 35 i think i'm too young for the strokes and so
does my DR but he wants to be sure. And so do I.
Do you have any numbness anywhere? Hope your Dr
appt goes well let me know.

We are in the middle of troubleshooting my chronic headaches.
I've seen a lot of doctors and recently had 3 surgeries for pelvic pain too.
My headaches have been affected by various body malfunctions.
I am getting ready to see a neurologist and a Doctor of physical medicine to address my headaches specifically.
I have not had an MRI yet.

So here are some of the medical conditions that contributed to my head aches:

An Endocrine Metabolic Disorder.
Hyperproductive Pancreas
Cysts on the Ovaries
Faulty hormonal production
Endometriosis and adhesion formation.
Colon problems
IBS-C
A hyperadrenergetic state
and Tachycardic hypertension.

Getting treatment for these problems have helped my head and neck situation but I am still having problems.
Pain is better. Nausea better. Flashing lights going away. The migrain now only arrives with 1/2 the aura.....stuff like that....better.

Now that we have the important medical conditions under control we are going to look at the possibility of old head and neck trauma contributing to the other half of those headaches.
Sometimes our answers are not so simple.

KAT,

I'VE HAD SOME SIMILAR PROBLEMS - ENDOMETRIOSIS, ADHESIONS, CYSTS --- ALL EVENTUALLY LED TO A HYSTERECTOMY WHEN I WAS 33. I THOUGHT FOR SURE THAT WOULD HELP WITH THE HEADACHES (HORMONES) BUT NO. I HAD PROBLEM WITH PART OF MY COLON DUE TO THE ADHESIONS, TOO BUT THAT WAS ALL TAKEN CARE OF. HOPE ALL WORKS OUT FOR YOU.
