Usually your family Dr. can diagnose or your local school district may have personnel that test for it.

You can ask your pediatrician for a Connor's Rating Scale to give to your child's teacher to fill out. It assesses inattentiveness, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. It does not diagnose; your doctor does.
