I need braces only for my bottom teeth. The first 4 are moderately crooked and one is not really aligned very good. I heard that Invisalign can only be used to prevent tooth migration, not to correct them. Is this true. And what would be the average cost for bottoms only? Thanks so much.

I don't know a lot about Invisalign, but I do know that SOME dentists will make you get the top and bottom if there will be any moving of the teeth at all. That way your teeth stay matched up. My teeth are slightly crowded at the bottom and I looked into Invisalign or ceramic braces for the bottom only and they told me they wouldn't do that or it just wouldn't match properly since my teeth match as they are now. I'm sure it varies with what you are specifically doing.. and if you are going to use it as a preventive measure and NOT to move your teeth, you can probably do that.
