can you get genital herpes from absolutely no sexual contact?

It's highly unlikely, but it has been known to happen. Usually this would be due to autoinnoculation. If you have oral herpes, and touched a sore and then your genitals, thus infecting a new area. Auto-innoculation usually will only happen within the first year of having the virus, because your antibodies haven't built up enought to prevent it yet.
