I am very scared and hope someone can give me some advice.
I think I had a sleepwalking episode last night and my husband says I was acting very weird last night.
He said I woke up in the middle of the night and knocked something liquid off of the nightstand next to me because he heard it leaking all over the floor. Then I got up and went into my kids room to wake them up for school and came back into the bedroom and told my husband that they wouldn't wake up for school. He flipped on the tv to check the time and told me it was barely 2:00 in the morning. He said I wouldn't talk to him, that I was just mumbling and not making any sense then I went back to sleep. I woke up this morning too and a bottle of antacid sitting next to me on the night stand, the lid was off so I must have taken the lid off during all of this and just sat it beside it, I know I didn't take any. No one else uses it either.
I am very scared about this. I have never had anything like this happen to me.
I think I remember bits and pieces, I think I remember trying to talk to my daughter and wake her up and then my husband telling me what time it was then going back to sleep.
What was this? Was this sleepwalking possibly? I am scared.
Please I'd love to hear back from anyone who can give me advice.
Thanks

Sleep walking is not normal in adults or children. Male children are more prone to it though. You need to go to a sleep specialist for an evaluation. I slept walked frequently until I was 30. It took that long for my severe sleep deprivation due to severe sleep apnea. I passed it on to my son as well. Sleep apnea is a genetically dominant trait. If you have it your kids could. Mine didn't get bad enough to make my MDs take note til after my child was born. It is worth checking out.
