Has any had this operation? Was it successful? Any horror stories? or was it a complete success?

I had septoplasty done last year for sleep apnea. During the recovery I had very little pain. The only part that was painful was after one week the surgeon inserted a metal instrument up my nares to pull out the packing material and that was painful but only for a few moments. Does the surgeon think that your deviated septum is causeing you to have low oxygen levels which are causing your headaches?

The Dr thinks that the bone spur in my girlfriend's nose is causing the headaches. She suggests that if the spur is removed that will aleviate the pain around her sinus.

We have been to every doctor, We feel that this is our last hope.

It is possible that it would work. I still have daily sinus headaches two years after sinus surgery. It is hard to tell if not enough surgery was done to open up all the sinuses, or if the whole idea of opening up the sinuses is irrelevant to my pain. I still have the inflammation and pain in areas like the maxillary sinuses that were opened up.

Do some Google searches for: sinus + headache
