my son has to have a lot of root canals done, he will be sedated but conscious
the thing he has a problem with is the sound of the drill which really freaks him out, any suggestion how he might overcome this fear would be helpful
he is a young adult :)

many dentists have headphones with music-you can call ahead and ask if they do. You could bring one if you have one at home-- tape or cd or ipod.-Turn it up LOUD!!!
