Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I had my first fertility appointment on January 4, 2008. My DH went with me. My doctor asked us a bunch of questions, did an exam and said that everything feels normal. We told her that we have been trying for 2 years to conceive and she set me up for an HSG (Hysterosalpingogram). She also set my DH up for a semen analysis. Which is to be done on February 5, 2008.
I went for my HSG this past Tuesday and I was a nervous wreck, from all the horror stories that I have read, online. I got the procedure done and when the doctor injected the dye in my uterus, it felt like mild cramps like when you first get your period. Thank God that was the only pain I experienced!! After the procedure was done, the doctor showed me my x-rays and explained everything to me. It was really cool to see my uterus, fallopian tubes & ovaries on the screen! The doctor told me that the dye spilled out from my fallopian tubes and I was extremely happy, cause that means that my tubes are not blocked :). I think that they might have been blocked a little when he first injected the dye, cause he had me roll over on my left side and then on my right side and then took the x-ray. I also think that, cause there was some discharge after the procedure was done. I am wondering what the next step in this fertility process is. If anyone has any idea, please let me know. Thank you!
