ok, yesterday i was playing soccer and my tonail was a little longer than i normally keep it, so everytime i would slam on the breaks it would ram my nail into my skin. now my toe nail is really loose and there is a white milky substance all under the nail and it hurts all around the nail. what do i do? also should i try to get the substance out from under the nail or is it just trying to repair itself?

Soak it in cold water a couple of times a day until the pain is gone. After soaking, apply a drop or two of peroxide to keep it dry and to help prevent or dry out any infection that is present. Trim all of your toenails short enough so they do not go past the end of the toe - usually less than 1/16th of an inch free edge is more than enough.
Last, but not least, wear a pair of shoes that do not pinch the toes or put any pressure on the toenails.
