I have given different progestrones approxiamately 8 tries and have not been able to tolerate it. I end up dizziness, in a mental fog, bloated, heartburn, and indigestion. Recently I was told I was no longer ovulating. I have been on the Vivelle patch, and in the past Climara, for several years. Since I can't tolerate progestrones, and I am estrogen dominate plus no longer ovulating, Ithink I should start cutting back on the estrogen patch. Does anyone know what might be in store for me cutting back on the patch, symptom wise?

May I ask why you have been on Estrogen patches for years if you have still been ovulating? Why do you think you are estrogen dominant? Have you had a recent test of your hormones.......

It is my understanding if you are menopausal you only need estrogen and then some prometrium for a few days every 4 months..........that is the protocol I am starting........ They keep changing the information but after talking to numerous women who have been on estrogen for years I have decided to try it........also they look great.

I used to think I had estrogen dominance from reading all the "books" I spent a ton of money on Progesterone creams and books and only ended up with migraine headaches........the progesterone creams and bioidenticals did not work for me, they made me sick and puffy..........so even though I am symptom free now I am starting the Vivell Dot patch to improve my skin..........no more progesterone for me right now........

There is a new patch coming out that is actually a liquid you paint on.......so I am hearing.

Hope that helps somehow..........just my opinions.........Oleander

It was only recently I was told I was no longer ovulating (2 weeKS). That is why I would like to cut back on the estrogen.
