I went to my doctor last week with symtoms of feeling really really cold such that I have been shivering like crazy over the last three four weeks and my right side and back were paining off and on. I am so so weak that I can lie on my bed all day and all night. On top of this, I am pregnant. I was asked to do a urine test, which turned out positive for infection. The doctor prescribed me three days of medicines and now that the course is over, I should feel better, but I do not. I do not have any temperature infact my body temperature is always 37 yet my teeth are clattering and my muscles twitching with cold. Can please some one help me recognize these symptoms?

Hiya, normally uk doctors put you on a five day course, go back to your doctor and tell him, i have kidney and bladder problems and i am always on five day tablets and if they dont clear it then another lot and if that doesnt clear it well with my problems i normally end up in hospital... however it sounds as though you need to go back and see him hun in case the tablets were not strong enough to clear it..

or you could go to chemist and buy lab sticks and check for infection yourself, but to be honest if your new to kidney pain, then i would head back to gp :)
