Hi, "2008", and welcome. I'm sorry you were diagnosed but glad that you're being treated. I really think the best way to gain some understanding is to borrow some hardcovers from your local library. One fine author is Dr. Daniel Wallace, and another is Dr. Robert Lahita. (Ooops! Not sure where "your" Manchester is! If in U.K., look for Dr. Graham Hughes.)

You don't have to read the books word for word. Skim, skip around, whatever, enough to see what lupus *can* be. As to what it *will* be? It's pretty variable, actually. But know that many people stay relatively mild, with proper treatment & follow-up care.

How are you doing right now? What meds are you on, and have they kicked in yet? I hope you post more when you can. Meanwhile, best wishes, from Vee

hi vee, thanks for the infomation il keep my eyes open for them books, at the moment i my Doctor has me on steriods, azithaprine, omprazole and hydochorxaquin im not sure if i have spelt them right or not. im doing a lot better now than i did when i was first diagnosed but finding myself very tired a lot more than i used to, do you have any useful tips about that???
