I can't remember if I'm allowed to do this, but I'll try anyway - About 30 minutes ago I started thinking about Dave (Shoreline) and wondered why I hadn't seen him on the board much lately. I noticed he had answered a few posts late last week, but nothing more than that. So I decided to log on and do a "Shout Out for Dave" thread....what do I see? In the minutes before logging on and thinking about him, he had been on because someone else had called on him for an answer!! I must be on the same wavelength as other posters. Anyway - Hey Dave...How are you doing? I specifically wanted to know how the part time work is going for you. I know that you have said that it initially had given you a new lease on life and gave you reason to get up and get going in your life instead of just watching cable t.v. ad nauseum. Are you still feeling the same way? How is your pain control lately? Any changes in meds - is the intrathecal pump still doing its job? Just want to know what's going on in your life - if you don't mind my asking. All the best - K'Mac  (p.s. - I'm going in for a T3-T6 fusion on Wednesday of this coming week - have some compression fractures that have worsened over time).

hey kathy, i woke up and realized it's been a while since I checked in. I spent the weekend doing taxes and I actually owe money this year, talk about a deterant for working. LOL No earned income, all my SSD is taxable and lil Bush thinks printing money the US doesn't have, to give everyone a chunk to spend is going to stimulate the economy while sending the country further into debt makes him our most smartest presedent.
Anywho, Still working, still hurting and ready for an adjustment or change after 18 months, the sleep problems are making me nuts. This is the slow season and work has cut back on floater and part time hours so I'm investing that energy in me and working out more often and back on a regular schedule of cardio, core and strngth training again.
Sorry to hear about your surgery. I really hope this is something that goes smooth and is relatively non invasive like vertebroplasty and you end up being the poster gal for BMP2, "Bio morphic proteins" the bone growh stuff they fill the cracks with. I'll say a prayer for ya and hope you have your PM worked out in advance. Your courage is amazing although I understand the desperation that allows you to accept the risks involved in any procedure.
take care, Dave

Hey Dave,
So good to hear from you, I knew you were working some, but also wondered where you had gotten off to, I think of you as the brains of this board, and you know what they say, kill the brain, and the body dies, so dont go anywhere too far! lol.
We're waiting for our W-2's, what ever will we do next year without the decider? because we are not the deciders, he is the decider. lol ;)
Hope you can find more relief in 2008, tax and pain wise.
Hugs, Fabby

Hey...
This post is exceptional!! So far, most of my favorites have responded to the thread or started the thread! I kid you NOT...I was wondering about Dave, as well. I really don't think I'm out of line to say that we all benefit from his expertise and experience!!
I'm certainly glad everything is going well--including the concept of avoiding a tax audit!
Sincerely,
Jon (Conductor)
