Do you know what your B12 number is and what reference range was used on the lab
report? Do you eat a vegetarian diet?

Even low B12 can cause your problems and not every one reacts the same. I remember my lab report said 1% of the population would have horrible symptoms in what they call mid range (3-400's) something like 5% in the 2-300 range and of course the USA doesn’t count you as anemic till you’re below 200. If you don't feel well keep a close eye on it - track what you eat and the vitamins you take - open communication with your doctor is one of the best proactive ways to be - and don’t be afraid to be pushy or ask too many questions - remember that is what you pay him for.

There is lots of information on the web about low B12 and the trouble it causes. Of course this site is very helpful as well.

Good luck
