Many meds are used for other purposes other than what it was originally tested for. Reglan is not scheduled drug so I am not sure why they told you that unless they consider it a scheduled drug in your state. Go ahead and start the medication as you will never know if it works for you if you don't at least try it. Any time you start a new medication you don't know how your body will react to it but you have to at least try it. Imagine if you had a really bad infection and were afraid to try the antibiotic the doc gave you.......you would never know if it worked if you didn't at least try it.

Yes I have heard of quite a few people trying reglan for migraines and cluster headaches. Some have had sucess with it. Good luck!
I was given reglan and morphine during my last trip to the ER for a migraine. At the time I was still nursing my baby and could not use Imitrex. If I'm not mistaken, the reglan helped to reduce the nausea while the morphine got rid of the pain.
Good luck!

Hi all....Reglan is used for things other than stomach problems. Although mostly used for ulcers, I have heard of it being used for migraines and cluster headaches. I was on it in 1995, 1998, and 2001 to help induce lactation after my children were born. (Lactation can be a side effect of the medicine)
Just my 2 cents
