I got a severe headache yesterday and after sleeping it went away. Now today it is back and it is really bad. I am at work, trying to make it through the day. This has never happened to me before. I get headaches all the time but never like this!!! it is on the whole left side of my head, sharp pain!!!

Go to the doctor!

They always say, if its a headache unlike you're "normal" headaches or worse than any one you've had before, call your doctor! Even though it seems like many doctors don't take them all that seriously due to the millions of reasons they can occur (including majority of unknown). At least let your doctor know what is going on to see if he/she thinks anything is abnormal.
Here's something strange, I heard that most doctors dislike headache patients....comforting huh?
