During school i would go get coffee everyday before school and i became addicted to chaffine and i would get headaches from it. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Is there anyway to stop the pain without using caffeine?

Try Decaffenated coffee.

Do not drink coffee EVERYDAY!

Take 2 Excedrins prior to drinking coffee.

Excedrin is not the thing to take as the one poster suggested as it contains caffiene. If caffiene is your headache trigger then slowly cut it out by drinking it say only every other day and then maybe only once in a while. Since you know that caffiene is a headache trigger for you then be sure to watch you labels on things like pain pills and other over the counter meds since quite a few do contain caffiene. This is a common headache trigger so just eliminate is slowly.

Usually headaches are from caffeine withdrawal. If you are addicted to caffeine and the effects begin to wear off, it is possible that you will get a headache until you drink the next cup. People take caffeinated medications (Excedrin migraine, for example) for migraines because it tends to expand the blood vessels in the brain, thus increasing blood flow and temporarily relieving the headache.

It would be best to very slowly reduce your caffeine to prevent as many headaches. I myself have gotten down to 1 cup of coffee a day. When I get a headache, I just take tylenol or ibuprofen.

I think Susie's got the answer.
Caffeine WITHDRAWAL headaches can be murderous.
So either keep the caffeine flowing regularly or slowly ween youself from it.

(I just make sure there's never a shortage!)
