ok, i had to post this b/c it works so well for me. for about a year i was getting headaches daily. they'd hit fast and never go away till after i fell asleep. nothing over-the-counter worked so i went to my doc and she prescribed me Midrine (or amidrine) caps. they work awesome. i only had to take two a day for it to send my headaches away. and now my headaches don't occur as frequently.

it worked for me, so i thought i'd share, and good luck to all those out there.. headaches really suck!

glad to hear it worked for you. midrin doesn't do a thing for my tension headaches or migraines...

imitrex - only the injections and narcotics. and half the time they don't work either or i have to take a double dose.

Midrin is normally used for migraines not tension headaches so my guess is that the doc probably felt you have migraines and not tension headaches. My husband uses Midrin for his migraines and likes it quite well. Glad it works for you too.

yes, midrin is for migraines as it effects your blood vessels, not for tension headaches.
