Hi i have been suffering from headaches for about a year on and off. I am not sure if they are sinus or migraines. The headaches are usually in my eyes, like my eyes feel really heavy. I dont really get nauseas with these headaches, but i am very sensitive to light. Sometimes the pain goes into my forehead area but that is about it. I do notice sometimes i hear something in my head like a popping noise, its hard to really describe it. Its very painful in the eye area, and i dont know if its eye strain from the computer, i have no idea. Also what are the symptoms of a sinus infection? My nose is fine, i mean its sorta stuffy all the time but it never runs or nothing. My throat is fine. I dont have any facial pain near my nose or nothing or by my cheeks. I tried advil but it doesnt usually take it away. If anyone has any input on this please let me know..THANKS!!

If you are not having the pain near the cheeks, eye sockets or the nose/into your teeth it most likely isn't a sinus problem. With a migraine the pain is unbearable and you would generally feel like you want to rip your head off the pain is that bad. You mention you work with a computer so you may have headaches from the computer. When was your last vision check and do you use an antiglare screen on your computer. Since over the counter meds are not taking care of the headaches then it is time to see the doc and get these checked out. Any time you have headaches that are not relieved with over the counter pain meds they should be checked out by a doctor.

the source of pain for cluster headaches is behind the eyes. you'd be having very severe pain and your eye would feel like it's bulging out of it's socket if that's what you are having, though.

HI guys thanks for writing! I do work on a computer for work about 8 hours a day, constantly, I don't have an antiglare screen, where can i get one of those? I think the glare is causing me to squint and that might be causing these eye aches. Its more like eyeaches, like my eyes just hurt , but often when i have the eyeache my forehead also aches. I dont have pain in the cheeks or nose area. Maybe it is some sort of eye strain. If anyone knows where i can get one of those antiglare screens please let me know. The headaches are not everyday but they are about 3 or 4 times a week. THanks!

After I was off my Accutane acne medicine, my body was really dried out and I had eyeaches behind my eyes. I went to the eye doctor for a normal checkup and told her about this. She told me that my eyes were not properly moisturized during my treatment with the Accutane and that my eyeball and the vessels/nerves behind it were too dry. So she told me just to use over-the-counter eyedrops once a day. After doing that for about a week the pain went away and has never come back since. Try that and hope it works.

You can get an anti glare device at any store that has a good computer section such as best buy, circuit city, compUSA etc. Also you should see your eye doc for a thorough exam and be sure to mention that you are having these headaches etc. He may recommend something special to help such as tinted glasses or eye drops etc.

hi. your work should be able to order you an anti-glare screen for your monitor if that's where you're spending the time on the computer. also, if you have fluorescent lighting that bothers some people. i had my own office at work and always keep the lights out and the door shut, just keep the monitor on. seems to be easier on my eyes.
