Hi People,

I have a friend, aged 31, who has been suffering piles for almost 5 years now.He is not on any medication what so ever to assist him in passing motion. However, today I noticed that he is losing weight. So I asked him what was wrong.

He told me that he's been having bowel discomfort for the past month. He says that there are white colored coatings on his stool which he describes as looking like snake skin sheddings.

He too mentioned that numerous time for the past month that he could not control the ability to pass motion, he just doesnt recognizes that he just did. I asked him to describe me the characteristics of the excrement. He said its slimy, just like when you are having diarrhea but smells like vommit.

He has this fear of going to the doctors as he does not want to know what is wrong with him. Plus he is under extreme stress due to family issues.

With all this said, can some good soul out there diagnose what is wrong with my friend. Any help is really appreciated.

Bregards,
Diabolos

This might generate more interest on the Bowel Disorders forum.
But, it sounds like it could be a parasite (like Giardia).
The CDC has a good overview of Giardia:

He really should see a doctor. They can figure this out with a stool sample.

Mark.
