Friends:

I've had a "new" symptom off and on - feeling like I'm going to faint. Happpened twice this week while away on business - once at a reception after sitting all day and the other, not quite as bad just sitting in a seminar. I also had some left side buzzing/numbness which I've never had before. In both cases I felt better after laying flat on the bed on my back for a while.

Anyone had this as part of their c-spine issues?

Hi Sunshine,

Lightheaded, yes...don't know if it's from my c-spine (ACDF March 2007, cord compression). I get a "rocky boat" sensation a lot, also feeling like I may pass out - like either a fainting or possible seizure, mind you so far - I haven't gone down. Some days or hours are worse than others. Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, it's not fun. Keep us posted. Mona

I think I'm going to call my local neuro and have her check me out and then see my out of town neuromuscular specialist if she thinks i need to - it was pretty scarey. I've also had this happen while driving a few times. I drive by myself a lot and have a lot of travel planned, some with hubby, some alone.

Also lots of stress in my life at the moment - a wedding being planned, my Dad just died a few weeks ago and two relatives getting cancer treatments on my husband's side. So hubby thinks my problem is stress but while its a factor i know its not 100%

My problem is also central cord compression so I appreciate your input Mona.

BTW - still have some myofacial pain but it actually turned out that I had a tooth with a vertical crack and it had to be removed. (I wonder though if I caused the crack by rubbing my face when it hurt real bad)
