Ive had an opiate addiction for around 4 years now. mostly oxycodone but it was a big one up to 40-50 a day. a month ago i new i had to stop so i started to taper down i was at around 18 a day . Feb 1 i stopped taking them and used the home detox plan i took some xanax and pretty much slept all saturday and most sunday and now i feel fine . a few sore muscles but nothing horrible no diahreha no cold sweats etc pretty much feel normal. is this possible or am i gonna get some real bad withdrawls later on. thanks for the help , mark

If you stopped from 18 a day, I think you are still in for some withdrawals. They may have not kicked it yet. Don't want to burst your bubble, but they are coming. Just keep up with the home detox plan and remember that they will end.
Best wishes,
JB

Hello Johnson,

Welcome to the board :)

Granny said it perfect - I agree you will feel some withdrawal's however it seem like you've got a handle on it already. Just remember "it will end" and you'll have your life back. When the wd's are happening, the cravings set in, you feel like giving up, but just keep telling yourself you can do this. Remember "why" you want to do this. Go outside and get some fresh air. Make plans with friends. Basically, don't sit around "waiting" to feel the wd's - if you do that, you'll feel it more.

Good luck, keep in touch,
Hugs,

Well, you stopped on Feb. 1st and still nothing? Maybe you're body is not experiencing wd's - for some miraculous reason, you are going to be fine :)

Let us know if anything happens - but for now, the worst is statistically over.

Hugs,
emsmom
