Hi,

My mum's been to see a gynaecologist due to permanent periods. Her doctor told her she had two choices. She could have an endometrial ablation or could be fitted with a hormonal coil. My mum hasn't started menopause yet and wasn't given much advice about either of these procedures, although the doctor was trying to push her towards the coil. She's asked me if anybody could perhaps clear things up with regards to what are the pros and cons of each and which would someone, who's been through it, recommend. We would be grateful for any advice.

Thankyou.
