My dad was diagnoised with Esophageal Cancer last October, had surgery to remove the tumor where part of the esophagus and a little of the stomach is taken out and reconstructed with a peice of intestine.

Long story short,he's been having choking problems...but NOT on food...when he's laying down or asleep sometimes he starts to cough and he says its kinda like choking and needs to catch some breathe back.

Since the surgery he's had ALOT of tests done and they say there is nothing wrong with his lungs or new esophagus...cause like I mentioned he can eat just fine.

What could it be? Thanks for any info ;)
