Lately, I often become quite nauseated after eating, even after eating very little food, to the point where I almost have to throw up. After an hour or two the feeling is gone. I've tried to discover a pattern in this, but so far it seems quite random.

It is not painful and it isn't happening all the time, but it is quite annoying sometimes, because it makes it hard to concentrate for an hour or two every time.

I think I would like to go to a doctor to have him examine my belly, but do you think that's what he'll do? If he'll talk to me and say it's nothing, or will just prescribe me some anti-nausea tablets, I'd rather not go at all. Is it standard procedure to do some examination for this kind of thing?

Does anyone have an opinion on this?

You should see a doctor and have some blood tests done. It could be a blood-sugar problem (like diabetes). He'll also poke around your abdomen to rule out some other possible causes like appendicitis.
