I am currently in my 5th week post-op and I was wondering if anyone could tell me when it would be safe to start smoking again (cigarettes). I've looked everywhere and haven't found anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It is never safe to smoke. If you've gone this long, why bother starting again?

I realize this obviously. I guess I should have worded the question differently. I am well aware of what smoking does to you and I appreciate your concern but I would still like to know if anyone has an actual answer for this.
