tmvincent,
Are they going to do your 360 in one procedure or two? I really wish you the best of luck and all my prayers to you for this upcoming procedure. I know you will do well.

Deb,
So far I seem to be keeping the pain under control although I had a terrible day on Saturday. It didn't matter what I was taking or how much that my pain level was a 10.

Emily,
My restrictions- no sitting longer then 15 minutes, 3 times a day, no lifting more then a coffee cup and of course no BLT. No driving or riding in the car. I can take showers but pat my skin dry and no rubbing. I haven't had a bowel movement since Jan.28th and I have taken Miralax and some natural stool softner but my husband said I don't eat so there isn't anything to come out. He is right because I have not felt like eating at all.

My stomach is so swollen and bruised really bad. I slept in the bed last night because my husband said I needed to but then I woke up early with severe pain in my hips and pelvis. I started crying because I hurt so bad. My husband is trying to take care of my medication for me (keeping track) but I don't think he is doing too good with that because he lets too much time go in between and then it takes longer to get it under control.

My husband has come down with a virus of some kind so here we were both sicker then a dog. At least I have my antibiotics to take but I think we all know what it is like when our "hubbies" feel bad. I am also having trouble emptying my bladder but had that problem when I was in the hospital but the PA didn't seem to be concerned.

Well, I have go to go to bed and hopefully get some sleep. My thoughts and prayers are with everone..

Hugs'
Linda

Hey Dee,
My husband felt some better this morning so he went to work. I didn't sleep well at all last night but my husband said that is because I am sleeping too much during the day. Hopefully my husband will start feeling well again because it sure is easier on me if he feels better.

My stomach was really swollen, too. I looked pregnant, and I'm a skinny person! It took quite a while for it to go down. Yea for sweat pants!

Maybe you need to take over your pain med control. My husband didn't even know what all I was taking. He only took off work for the day of my surgery. Once I got home, he wasn't there during the day at all. I kept a little notebook with all my meds listed, what time I last took them and how much. In the beginning, I even set my alarm clock so I wouldn't miss a dose during the night. It made a big difference to keep it in my system.

I hope you're feeling a little stronger today. It won't be long until you're ready for the next surgery and then just resting and recovering.

Take care,
Emily

Hey Emily I started taking care of all my medicine today. He had no idea what each was for. I kept telling him about the antibiotics and he still kept forgetting to give them to me.

I wish I could say I was a thin person but I will not tell a lie. My daughter looked at the incision tonight and she does have some medical background and she said it looks really bad to her. She thinks I should get into see the PA tomorrow. I told my husband I will need to go to the doctor tomorrow so we will see what he says in the morning. There is a large lump in the incision and bright red and also oozing coming from the incision. There is heat coming from the incision also. I am not suppose to drive so I will have to figure out something with someone.

Thanks everyone for your support.

Oh, no. That really doesn't sound good. I'm glad your daughter knew to tell you to get it looked at. Please let us know what they say.

I wish you well,
Emily

Oh my Linda. That certainly sounds like an infection to me. Please see someone ASAP so that the incision does not open. Let us know what you find out! Good luck.

I'm a little worried that she hasn't posted again. I wonder if they admitted her for IV antibiotics. Hope she's okay!

Well, the only good news there is that she obviously went and had it looked at and taken care of and from the sounds of her post that is a good thing!

Hey Kyma, keep us posted girl. Hope everything is OK.

Deb
