My daughter has taken orthotryclen for about 8 days and now she is complaining of neck stifness and back pain, she said her muscles ake in general. Are these common side effects of the pill?

I would just read through the info included in the pack. It might be her body adjusting, it could be a number of things. Keep an eye on it and if it seems to get worse, call the dr. BC is tricky and each one takes a few months to get used to to begin with. If it's something that she doesn't think she wants to deal with, then she should probably switch.
