It has come to my attention that under NYS law, insurance companies cannot cover Ridalin when prescribed for someone over 18 years of age.
Can anyone substantiate this and where do I find the statute?

I can't answer your question. Ironically the only med that my insurance would cover was generic IR Ritalin. I'm 56 and live in PA.
If it is true that ins. companies in NY cannot cover Ritalin for adult ADHD more than likely they do cover Adderall. Most adults do better on Adderall but there are exceptions such as myself.
