i've never really worried about this before, but lately it's been getting more noticeable. i'm in good health and in good shape, but sometimes when i do certain physical things, i get a mild to moderate headache which lasts for about 3 minutes, then subsides. the most noticeable time these happen is when i run up stairs or steps quickly.

also, during these headaches, i get a strong pulse in my head. i can feel it, every heartbeat, in my head. it's in the back and top of the back of my head. even though it's not audible out loud, it seems like i can feel it and it seems like every pulse is loud (since it's in my head, i'm guessing)

there's really no other way to describe it. i've tried to describe it to some friends and even to my doctor, who just looked at me funny and said don't worry about it...but does anyone here have any opinions??

hello...

I have been getting exactly the same thing. It's like I can feel my pulse, nearly all day, in the top of my head. I am really fit, blood pressure/pulse rate excellent, cholesterol level fine (4.1), and keep reasobaly fit. Ideal weight, and good diet. Stopped smoking and drinking too!!! So...I don't get it. My doctor explained that its probably just stress, as I have a lot on my plate at the minute, and it's just my emotions trying to 'find a way out' (which doesnt help an awful lot!). I have started doing relaxation exercises, deep breathing etc, to see if that makes a difference. Did you ever find out what causes this phenomenon?
