I am on errin the generic form of micronor, and had no side effects but it is only 97 % effective cause it has no estrogen. I have always had bad acne and it has made my acne worse. I also had size D breasts even though I am a small petite person and so when i tried ortho tricyclyn Lo 2 years ago I found i gained 10 pounds and my boobs gor huge. I swear my body changed after taking it. I wanna try Yaz but have heard mixed reviews I know everyone has different reactions but it does seem like a good one?

I personally love Yasmin its been good for my acne, Im all clear now, but it took 4 months to work, so hang in there, I also found it helped me lose weight, I lost 10 in the first 3 weeks probably mostly water, and Ive been losing weight steadily now, I work out 3 days a week, on Ortho Tri-Cyclen I couldn't lose a pound while working out everyday, so its been way better for me as far as weight. I sill have dryness down there (TMI sorry) but every pill ever does that, no mood issues for me, though this is the most common complaint with this pill. My breasts are a D and they stayed that way thank god;)

I was on Yasmin last year, but got a rash on my face? Weird, but once I stopped, it went away. That was really my only negative side effect. I loved that I wasn't bloated on it. Anyways, I've tried a LOT of pills, and just recently was put on LoEstrin24 which I hated and asked to be taken off of. She switched me to Yaz, and it has taken me out of the frump LoEstrin put me in...So far, no negative side effects...I have a good complection, so I can't really say if it's helped there at all, but definitely better with moodiness/emotional side effects.
Good Luck!

I take Yasmin and love it. Yaz is similar but lower hormones and less placebo pills. You may want to talk to your doctor about those. I have been on Yasmin for a long time and WOULD try Yaz, but Yasmin works great for me, so why switch if I know this one is perfect for my body?

Yasmin does NOT affect my weight. I took it as a teen, so I'm not sure if it affected my breast size or if that was just my age. I was 15 or so when I started to take it for my periods. I no longer get cramps and get sick during my periods since taking Yasmin! At first my doctor was like "Oh you have lost weight on the pill" but I was being much healthier and eating right and working out. So, the pill didn't really make a difference with me. The one thing that DID cause weight gain (only a little though) was anti-depressants.

My skin definitely got less oily. It was VERY oily and I was always using those blue Clean & Clear oil absorbing sheets. I'd go through a pack SO FAST. Now my skin is more normal/combination and easier to deal with. Sure, I get acne every now and then, but my skin looks good and friends have asked me what products I use, so I guess it looks okay to others too! I think most people get at least a pimple every now and then.

Also, Yasmin has not affected my moods at all. I never got PMS, and I do struggle with anxiety and depression, but this was BEFORE the pill and it never got any worse. If anything I have been improving.

Hi! so what did your doctor tell you about Yasmin and what have you decided to do? Are you going to take these pills?
As for me it is the 2d month I've been taking this pill. So far, I haven't had lots of side effects...

Yes, the doctor put me on Yaz, (different doc then the one who put me on the mini pill) and she said the mini pill was an odd choice but to try yaz and i could start it right away since i was on week 1 of the other pills. I had a tiny bit off spotting but i think thats just from switching pills? So far i can see my acne getting better and Im only on day 2 of Yaz!!!

Hi again!
So are you satisfied with the pills(Yaz)? As far as I understand Yasmin is not Yaz- it's something different..
As for me I'm still taking Yasmin and I begin to experience some side effects like an increase in my appetite. I wonder if it can be only temporal and soon fade away.. Any advice?

Im at the end of my 2nd week and I like it. I notice that I do feel hungry sometimes but i just try to eat healthy and drink alot of water. My doc said try for three months before hate or like it. i hated the mini pill and ortho lo. I dont have weight gain but i feel a tiny bloated i am going to keep trying for three months. Anytime you put something new in ur body then you are going to have some side effects, so just remember that

Thank you very much for your advice. The thing is that I used to think that any hormanal pills cause a lot of problems and it is impossible to avoid them. Before I started to take Yasmin I had tried a few others( for example,Diane 28) and was dissatisfied with them. I felt moody and sad for no reason and gained weight. But, fortunately, now I fell better while taking Yasmin, though there are some mild side effects. I'm also trying to eat healthy food and not to overeat. I have to take the pills at least a few month according to my doctor's prescribtions to regulate my hormonal levels.
Anyway, good luck to you...
